Taking care of yourself should always be a top priority. In tough economic times it's easy to compromise your health by working longer hours with added stress. The resources below are included to check your healthy habits and promote preventive care.

2009 Boot Camp classes are starting Monday, April 20th. To access the class schedule or find out more information check out the new website I am putting together at:

    Personal Health Habits

    How are your health habits?

It's important to occasionally stop and assess your exercise and nutrition habits. When doing this you can see what you are doing right and what areas you need to work on.

Check out this Personal Healthy Habit Inventory and see how you are doing.

    Preventive Care Guidelines

When was the last time you went for a checkup?

Like many men I tend to avoid the doctors office, even when I know I am due for a checkup. The problem is no matter how healthy our diet and exercise habits are, sometimes our genetics or other factors get the best of us. Proper routine screening can catch problems before they get out of control and perhaps save your life.

Preventive care is especially important because many problems never show symptoms that anything is wrong. Because of this you could be walking around with conditions like high blood pressure or cholesterol without even knowing it.

Check out this Adult Preventive Health Guidelines to make sure you are up to date with the health screening that you need at this point in you life. If you have any family history for particular problems speak to your doctor about being checked more frequently as you may be at a higher risk for developing these.
